I often find myself thinking of the women who were left behind while their husbands were fighting the early wars in American history. I've always thought how hard it must have been to have their soldier leave and have NO contact, except snail mail (once it came about) until they returned. In today's world, I think that all the technology that has been developed is both a blessing and a curse! I LOVE talking to my hubby when he calls and reading his emails and comments on MySpace. But then when I haven't heard from him in a week and there's bad news circulating, I can't help but think that its almost got to be easier knowing NOTHING than knowing only partial details. Honey, if you're out there - CT PHONE HOME!!!! If only I could hear your voice...

Oh, Chris. My heart is there with you, sweetie. It won't be long before the phone rings and the voice that melts your heart and brings you joy will be on the other end, saying your name and telling you how much he loves you...
Yes, we are preceded by countless faithful and strong military wives who ran to meet the postman each day, full of hope that a letter from their soldier was among the day's mail.
Praying that you receive a phone call today... Hugs & love, Tina
My heart is with you Christan. Shane would go weeks, sometimes over a month without calling me. He ran a lot of missions but could never tell me when he was going, so he communication wasn't there. Everyday I would check the internet, check the DOD website, etc. but I finally realized that if something was to happen, I would be notified before anyone, including the media. I know it's so hard not hearing from him. Thoughts and Prayers and with him. He is going to be fine and he is going to come home to you and your sweet family! Hang in there!! I don't know what it's like where Cory is at, but I know the communication signals were VERY bad at his FOB. And just to use the phone, he had to wait for hours sometimes. You and Cory (and the kids) and in my daily thoughts and prayers!!
